Ocean is a referral network that connects to EMRs. Its FHIR eReferral API lets an EMR or client management system receive referrals and send back status, demographic updates, and messages. WELL Health, which bought Ocean's maker in December 2021, says Ocean serves over 4,900 clinics and hospitals and handles more than 1.67 million referrals a year (March 2026).
